How to add the UCSB directory to Thunderbird

Open Account Settings again, under the Tools menu.
- Find your email account (i.e. john_doe123@isber.ucsb.edu) and select Composition & Addressing for that account.

Under the Addressing section, When looking up address: select the option for Use a different LDAP server.

Click Edit Directories, and Add a new directory. Enter the following information.
- Name: UCSB
- Hostname: directory.ucsb.edu
- Base DN: o=ucsb

Port number: 389

Now select UCSB from the drop down.
- Press OK and close the Account Settings.
